Stupid Dream I was digging through the garage and found a copy of Thomas Friedman's From Beirut to Jerusalem. My sister used to be interested in the middle east. So that's what I'll be attempting to read. I'm a notorious half read book kinda guy. I tend to get the general idea of what the author is trying to say then move on to another book. With any luck I'll get around to finishing some books I've been reading lately. Today, whilst cruising around Tulsa I ran across Rob's Records at the corner of 15th and Memorial. If you live in Tulsa do yourself a favor and check it out. I picked up a copy of Porcupine Tree -- Stupid Dream (which is apparently out of print and hard to find, the going price on Amazon is $55, I got it for $8) and it was the perfect music for the ride home, temps in the seventies, windows down, thinking that life is good (or so we thought eh?). Rob's has lots and lots of records, and a quite a few cd's as well. I didn't find much of what I was looking for but it might be a goldmine for you. It felt a little like Championship Vinyl from High Fidelity. | |
