This blog used to be about politics. Not so much anymore as I have worked through my fascination with that subject. It now seems appropriate that with a new president and the end of the Bush nightmare that I move on to new subjects that are more in line with my current interests. I may still occasionally express an opinion about political matters but for the most part I will be commenting on music, photography and personal observations. Thank you for reading.

bush is the hero for a new age? HAHAHAH!!!

Its amazing that people are now poring through the wastelands of Dubya's thoughts and trying to find greater meaning. Hell, that's about as fruitless and endeavor as trying to predict the end of the world by reading the Bible.

Paul Kennedy is right, we are a nation in decline. At least in regards to global power. The drive that gets one to the top incidently turns out to be the same drive that causes it to devour itself from within.

Our own national God complex is fueling truly bad decision making. We need a national sense of mission, badly. But the one cooked up by the delusional chefs at the White House buffet for the corporate elite will leave the core of America a empty corpse while we go about chasing petty dictators.

A truly American tradition, self glorification. We brought down the Nazis that sought to end democracy, with the help of the Soviets. Then we turned on our allies and began to threaten them. All to maintain our own sense of righteousness. Now we threaten what's left. Can we be Americans without a holy sense of saving the world?

To call Bush a hero is a dive into madeness. Nobody that picked Bush to lead the country suspected that he would have to actually "do" anything. They figured that he could fo up to Washington, gut the government, shut down as many programsn as possible and ride out of a town a conquering hero.

They figured that if Bill Clinton, who by that time they had dehumanized to the point of wondering if the man could dress himself, if Clinton could run the country then any old idiot could. So they found one.

The peter principle applies oh so aptly in this case. Poor old Bush, thrice failed businessman, didnt even have the wherewithall to say "Hell no, I dont know the last thing about running a country, much less a business!" He figured it was just another handout from the power brokers that go around handing out sweetheart deals like the Rangers moneygrab and the Texas Gubbernership. It is in this light that a man who took $17,000 of trust fund money, parlayed that into a multimillion dollar tax boondoggle payout solely through the use of family name and family connections has the gall to stand before the country and talk about right and wrong, accountability, and Moral Clarity.

How can a man who profitted off of shady business deals, insider trading and tax ripoffs be a messanger from God, much less a Hero for the new age as this shill proclaims?

Yeah right.

He won't even admit that he was a coke fiend. He'd be in jail if he wasn't rich. He'll stick your kids away for years for a screwup while he and his extended clan (no oblique refence too intended) get second chances out the wazoo. Or haven't you been following the Noelle Bush story? I wish her he nest and I think she deserves to lead a life free from drug addiction.

Just have the decency to rest the rest of us like humans!
