While I think that self-improvement, on the whole, is a laudable goal for all people, I fear that we would never agree on what would constitute "improvement". These days I see so many task oriented people, who, in my opinion, confuse micromanaging their lives with real control. While I can see how filling one's days with small tasks might feel empowering, I can't help but get past the fact that many of us spend so much of our lives turning the trivial into the vital. | |
