This blog used to be about politics. Not so much anymore as I have worked through my fascination with that subject. It now seems appropriate that with a new president and the end of the Bush nightmare that I move on to new subjects that are more in line with my current interests. Guantanamo Gets Greener With Wind Power Project:

"Four new windmill towers and turbines rising from the crown of John Paul Jones Hill will begin powering the U.S. Navy base here next month, saving $1.5 million in annual oil imports, reducing pollution and showing energy-starved communist neighbors what they are missing."

What they are missing? Would that be:

a) An expensive military apparatus funded and controlled by the government that can go and secure energy assets in other parts of the world?

b) Indefinite detention with no legal recourse?

c) A utopian paradise of gently turning windmills supplying all American's with unlimited, polution free electricity?
